Our Story

Natalie and myself (Maya) are two sisters who want to enact change. Our organization was founded in the summer of 2020 after we fell in love with Peru when we visited in the Summer of 2019. We saw the beauty and cultural richness of Peru, as well as extreme poverty. Huacahuasi was one such village which we toured via our eco-tourism group. The community was partnering with our tour group and a portion of the proceeds was donated back into the community. Huacahuasi had only just gotten running water. Talk of building a clinic was mentioned, however, plans had yet to be made. Upon returning home, we began thinking of ways to give back to that community. When the Covid Crisis hit and quarantine had everything shut down, we began reaching out to people to begin this project.

With the support of various leaders in the nonprofit sector including Kelly Eplee, Michael Cipoletti, Sean McKenna, Dora Quintana, Veronica Gonzalez, Fransisco Morales, and Paula Tamashiro, we began our endeavor. Currently we are working as a branch project under FNE International, an established nonprofit dedicated to bettering qualities of lives in rural regions.

Our Vision

Our ultimate hope and dream is to provide healthcare to the community of Huacahuasi. We hope to fundraise and to establish a clinic that will be able to be used as a public clinic within the Peruvian medical system. With the construction and renovation of the clinics we hope to better the lives of the Peruvian indigenous population.

In addition, we hope to bring together a community of individuals who want to continue giving back to these rural Peruvian communities and work to expand and grow this organization to fundraise and to establish more clinics.
