More than just a clinic…
-
At Sisters Project Peru, we believe that true health is woven from the threads of culture, community, and self-determination. In partnership with the people of Huacahuasi, we work to bridge healthcare access gaps by supporting the construction and future operation of a community-led medical clinic. Beyond infrastructure, we champion holistic, locally driven solutions—from nutrition and anemia prevention to dental hygiene education. Together, we are building not just a clinic, but a model of care rooted in dignity, resilience, and cultural pride.
-
We envision a future where rural Peruvian communities like Huacahuasi have lasting access to dignified, community-led healthcare. By building public clinics rooted in cultural respect, Indigenous knowledge, and women’s empowerment, we aim to improve health outcomes and inspire a global network committed to uplifting rural communities across the Andes.
-
At Sisters Project Peru, we are committed to fostering a community where diversity is celebrated, equity is pursued, and inclusion is the norm. We are committed to uplifting Indigenous voices, empowering women, and ensuring that healthcare and opportunity are accessible to all—rooted in respect, dignity, and inclusion.
Our Partners
FNE International
Sisters Project Peru and all the work we do is housed under FNE International, a non-profit that partners with communities in developing nations to identify opportunities to advance housing, health, and education, aiming to empower individuals as engaged members of their community and the world (FNEi Mission). We are grateful for FNEi’s advisory support on programming matters and assistance in facilitating our communication with the Peruvian Ministry of Health.
Andean Community Partners
We are grateful for our partnership with Andean Community Partners, who provides technical expertise for how to build, grow, maintain, operate, and harvest the community greenhouses. Members of Andean Community Greenhouses also regularly return to Huacahuasi to provide technical assistance to the community.
Yanapana Peru
We are honored to partner with Yanapana Peru, a non-profit civil association and the social and environmental responsibility arm of Mountain Lodges of Peru (Yanapana Peru website). Yanapana Peru provides regular on-site support in Huacahuasi and helps SPP coordinate with community members and the Peruvian Ministry of Health.
Community Partners
We could not do all that we do without the invaluable support of Huacahuasi’s community leaders, who remain in regular contact with the Peruvian Ministry of Health to support administrative progress for the health clinic.
