Artisan Marketplace Success
Celebrating Community and Culture
Over the past month, Sisters Project Peru had the joy of participating in two artisan marketplace events, where we proudly tabled and sold handmade textiles crafted by the talented women of Huacahuasi. These vibrant events not only showcased the beauty and cultural richness of traditional Andean weaving, but also brought people together in support of a critical cause—building a medical clinic in Huacahuasi.
Each item we sold—whether a colorful scarf, a handwoven bag, or an intricately patterned table runner—carried with it a story of heritage, resilience, and hope for improving health outcomes. Every purchase made by attendees helped us move closer to our goal of increasing access to healthcare for this remote, indigenous community nestled high in the Andes.
We’re proud to share that together, across both marketplaces, we raised a total of $600. Every dollar from these sales is being directed toward our ongoing fundraising campaign for the construction of the Huacahuasi Health Clinic.
These markets have shown us the power of grassroots fundraising and the impact of connecting people through storytelling and shared purpose. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, made a purchase, asked questions, or simply shared a kind word. Your support fuels our mission.
If you missed the events but still want to support or learn more about the project, be sure to visit our online artisan marketplace.
Together, we’re weaving threads of change—one textile and one act of kindness at a time.
