On October 8, 2025 the University of Virginia Chapter of SPP hosted the Quechua Panel. This event brought together students and professors to share their research and personal experiences from the Andean region, offering a rich dialogue across disciplines.
This August 2025, we returned to Peru! During our trip, we explored Lima and Cusco, met with the Peruvian Ministry of Health, and returned to Huacahuasi, where we held a discussion circle with the women, conducted dental hygiene programming, and so much more! Over the past month, Sisters Project Peru had the joy of participating in two artisan marketplace events, where we proudly tabled and sold handmade textiles crafted by the talented women of Huacahuasi.
On April 19th, 2025, UVA’s chapter of Sister’s Project Peru hosted its fourth annual silent art auction at the McIntire Art Gallery. The event featured student-generated art, handcrafted jewelry, a keynote speaker, and traditional Latin and South American foods.
